Dr. Juandalyn Peters is a BoardCertified Pediatric and Adult Psychiatrist in private practice in Hollywood, Florida. She graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine, trained in adult psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina, and then completed her training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Miami in Florida. Dr. Peters is passionate about issues of mental health in the community, and improving it through educating treatment providers and consumers. Therefore, in addition to her private practice, she provides numerous trainings on psychiatric illnesses and their treatment for groups of her colleagues and the general public at civic organizations and agencies such as Broward First Call for Help and the West Palm Beach Mental Health Association. This book is a part of her continuing effort to educate the public about mental illnesses, and prevent the alarming rates of suffering, disability and deaths attributable to mental illnesses in our community
